College Of The Desert Parking Permit

SECTION A: Details
All vehicles parking on the Campus must abide by the parking rules & regulations. College Of The Desert rules & regulations and the California Vehicle Code are enforced at all times. Any car which parked in violation of the College of the Desert parking regulations may be issued a parking citation. Parking citations are issued in accordance with Section 23113 of the California Vehicle Code. By California law, the registered owner of the vehicle is liable for all citations issued to that vehicle. Parking at any time in the red curb fire zone, in the blue curb disabled zone without a permanent disabled license (or handicap placard displayed), or in the marked loading zones have the same meaning on campus as those found in any city. Any vehicle not properly parked or not in compliance with College of the Desert Parking Regulations is subject to a citation and possible tow-away.

WARNING!
A Permit does not guarantee a parking space. The College Of The Desert parking permit entitles a vehicle to park on the campus when space is available. At peak class periods all lots may be full.
  • Permits are available on-line at the COD website only.
  • All parking lots require a parking permit.
  • Permits must be valid at all times.
  • Daily permits can be purchased at the self-serve parking machines in lots 4,14, 23, and 28.
  • Parking permits are required Monday thru Friday from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm.
  • No overnight parking allowed. Violators will be towed.
The College provides Officers for patrol of the parking lots. However, people parking on district property do so at their own risk. College Of The Desert does not assume any responsibility for loss or damage to vehicles or their contents while parked anywhere on District property.
